Dinner with Choire Sicha…

First, he is ridiculously adorable in person and a fantastic dining companion. I have rarely been wrong about my online impressions of people, and Choire was no exception. This was actually the second time we met in person, but we knew each other much better this time around.

We went with the classic Seattle institution - Dahlia Lounge. The four of us had fresh oysters that were OFF THE HOOK amazing and fried green tomatoes with fresh white cheddar cheese to start. Collectively, we had crab cakes, roasted pork and sauteed halibut, then ended it with the best coconut cream pie on the planet and fresh donut holes.

I’m taking him for the best freaking coffee in Seattle tomorrow morning and breakfast at my favorite joint, then tooling around town for a while. I fully intend to raid his phone for more pics when he isn’t looking.

is all that you could imagine. What a sweetheart.

I hope I’m not busting his cred for saying that.

This is where I leave my breadcrumbs.

I don't like long walks on the beach, but my dogs do.
